Job description
Manage end-to-end sourcing for network operations, including maintenance, managed services, and Level 3 support. Consolidate RFx demand and run sourcing events aligned with operational requirements. Translate technical and operational requirements into RFx and Statement of Work documents. Evaluate supplier proposals for operational capability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness, and negotiate to improve service levels and reduce total cost of ownership. Collaborate with network operations teams to align sourcing strategies with service delivery goals. Support contract formulation and the transition of RFx outcomes into operational agreements. Monitor supplier performance, contribute to continuous improvement, provide market intelligence on telecom operations vendors and pricing, and participate in agile sprint planning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain or equivalent is preferred. 3–5 years of experience in telecom network operations and/or procurement. Proven experience sourcing network maintenance, managed services, and technical support. Familiarity with telecom vendor ecosystems and pricing models; experience in large telecom groups or multinational telecom environments. Core competencies: intermediate RFx management and tendering, vendor evaluation and negotiation, and telecom network operations knowledge; beginner to intermediate contract and commercial management; beginner cost modelling and TCO analysis. Supporting competencies: beginner agile methodology and team collaboration; intermediate communication, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and reporting. Technical competencies: intermediate active/passive network maintenance sourcing, managed services procurement, telecom vendor landscape knowledge, and ERP tools (SAP, ARIBA, Oracle); beginner HW/SW Level 3 support sourcing. Preferred certifications: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), ITIL Foundation or equivalent, and Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
