The objective of this assignment is to strengthen CAFI's geospatial data architecture, analytical systems, and digital workflows in support of the PES MRV (Payment for Ecosystem Services, Monitoring, Reporting and Verification) framework and broader programme monitoring, reporting and decision-making processes across all CAFI countries. Under the supervision of the relevant CAFI manager, the GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist will support the design, implementation and operationalization of geospatial data systems, automated workflows, GIS tools and spatial reporting processes. The Specialist will also be responsible for compiling, quality-checking, managing and reporting spatial data submitted by implementing organisations and partner institutions, and for supporting partners in complying with CAFI spatial data submission requirements. Principales responsabilités : - Geospatial data architecture and platform administration: support the design and strengthening of CAFI's geospatial data architecture and workflow systems. - Design, implement and operationalize geospatial data systems, automated workflows and GIS tools. - Compile, quality-check, manage and report spatial data submitted by implementing organisations and partner institutions. - Support partners in complying with CAFI spatial data submission requirements. - Support spatial reporting processes feeding programme monitoring, reporting and decision-making across CAFI countries. - Contribute to the PES MRV framework through robust remote sensing and geospatial analysis.

Profil recherché

- Master's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience. - Solid expertise in GIS, remote sensing, geospatial data architecture and automated spatial workflows. - Experience with spatial data quality assurance, database management and spatial reporting. - Experience working with MRV frameworks, forest monitoring or environmental programmes is an asset. - Practice area: Nature, Climate and Energy. - Langues : la maîtrise de l'anglais et du français est exigée (fluency in English and French is required).
