IOM is recruiting a Project Assistant (Assisted Returns), G-4, in Douala under SVN 2026/051, job reference 23561. The initial Special Short Term Graded contract lasts six months. Responsibilities - Support pre-departure family tracing, assessment and counselling, and coordinate airport reception and post-arrival assistance. - Explain available assistance to returning migrants and support vulnerability screening. - Contribute to needs assessments, integrated reintegration plans and assistance in accordance with programme and financial procedures. - Refer vulnerable migrants to specialised services, monitor cases and maintain supporting information in MiMOSA. - Liaise with sending missions, public authorities and non-government partners. Profil recherché
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, International Studies, Law, Political/Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education or a related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a secondary-school qualification plus 4 years. - Experience in social work, case management, protection or support to vulnerable people. - Written and spoken French and English fluency. - Livelihood/business-support projects and multicultural humanitarian work are advantages. - Understanding of migration/protection, organisation, empathy and accurate case documentation.
